About 50% of the population like to budget for their dental care so we offer dental maintenance plans administered by Denplan. There are various plans available to suit your needs both for adults and children.
Denplan Care

- Denplan Essentials is a dental plan which helps you budget for your routine preventive dental care.
Denplan Care - from £19.25 per month
Denplan Care is a monthly payment plan which helps you pay for your routine and restorative dental treatment. After an initial assessment by the dentist of your oral health, you will be placed into one of five fee categories. You will need to have no outstanding treatment.
An initial assessment fee will apply to cover examination plus x-rays. Please see our 2024 fee guide.
Denplan Care also offers worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance) and access to Denplan’s 24-Hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline for an additional 60p per month.
Routine and Restorative Dental Care includes:
- Check-ups (up to the maximum detailed in your contract)
- Hygiene treatment (scaling and polishing)- up to the maximum detailed in your contract with dentist/hygienist
- Dental x-rays
- Necessary fillings
- Preventive dental advice and therapy including an out of hours advice line for emergencies
- Any necessary extractions
- Basic periodontal (gum) treatment
- Crowns, bridges, dentures, onlays (excluding laboratory fees)
- Root canal treatment (Additional fees levied for NiTi Files and use of an endodontic microscope)
THIS IS A MAINTENANCE POLICY NOT AN ON-DEMAND DENTAL RESTORATIVE SERVICE
Denplan Care does not cover:
- Laboratory fees and prescriptions
- Endodontic files used for root canal treatment.
- Any treatment excluded by the dentist in your contract which is payable by you at the private fee rates.
- Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment/fees
- Specialist periodontal treatment.
- Treatment carried out anywhere other than by your registered dentist, except when you need temporary emergency dental treatment
- Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
- Sedation fees
- Short notice cancellation/FTA fees (less than 48 hours – £1 per minute of appointment time).
Please remember, your routine dental treatment is at the discretion of your dentist and your contract is with Acacia Dental, not Denplan.
Denplan Care categories are determined by individual oral health/risk. Patients will receive as many appointments as clinically required following the initial assessment and as outlined in their treatment plan/contract. Additional dental and hygiene appointments outside of the treatment plan are billable.

Denplan Essentials – From £11.22 per month
Denplan Essentials is a dental plan which helps you budget for your routine preventive dental care. Seeing your dentist regularly is important as it can help you avoid having to undergo costly, restorative treatments. Acacia Dental will decide how often you should be seen and the appropriate fees for that. You will have to pay for any restorative dental treatment (i.e. crowns, bridges or fillings) but with a 10% ‘Denplan Membership’ discount.
An initial assessment fee will apply to cover examination plus x-rays. Please see our 2024 fee guide.
Denplan Essentials also offers additional worldwide dental injury and dental emergency cover (Supplementary Insurance) and access to Denplan’s 24-Hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline for an additional 60p per month.
Essentials Dental Care includes:
- Check-ups (up to the maximum appointments detailed in your contract)
- Scaling, polishing and other hygiene treatments (up to the maximum appointments detailed in your contract)
- Dental x-rays and Preventive dental advice
- Any additional treatment specified as included by the dentist in your contract
A healthy 10% discount on other in-house treatments (excluding laboratory fees)
Denplan Essentials does not cover:
- Additional examinations/hygiene appointments.
- Restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures (at the discretion of your dentist)
- Laboratory fees and prescriptions.
- Any treatment excluded by the dentist in your contract (payable by you to the dentist)
- Referral to a specialist and specialist treatments.
- Specialist periodontal treatment.
- Treatment carried out by someone other than by your registered dentist, except when you need emergency temporary dental treatment

Denplan Children - just £5.50 per month
Acacia Dental Practice has introduced a bespoke plan for younger patients in mind.
Routine Dental Care for children includes:
- Two examinations per year.
- Fluoride application and fissure sealants upon examination (if necessary).
- 10% discount on additional treatment such as fillings or extractions on a pay-as-you go basis.
- Annual cost £66.00
If your child is aged under 5 on 1st April 2022 and you are a private or Denplan patient at this practice, your child will be seen free of charge during your examination appointments until their 5th birthday.
Denplan Supplementary Insurance – only £60p per month
Optional Denplan Supplementary Insurance, provided by Simplyhealth Access.
Denplan Supplementary Insurance covers:
- Access to a 24-Hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline
- Temporary emergency treatment in the UK, when you’re more than 40 miles away from the practice
- Temporary emergency treatment abroad anywhere in the world
- Worldwide Dental injury cover
- Mouth cancer cover (cover not immediate)
- Hospital cash benefit if you need to stay overnight in hospital under the care of a dental or maxillofacial surgeon
- Cover towards the cost of a dentist opening the dental practice to provide treatment outside normal surgery hours
NB: Patients are responsible for booking their annual quota of appointments with the dentist/hygienist. Refunds for Denplan are not provided at the practice. Cancellation/FTA fees – Denplan patients will have the option to pay the cancellation fee of £1 per minute or have the missed appointment deducted from their annual quota. Denplan fees are subject to annual review. You will be notified in writing regarding any changes.
